This work invites personal interpretation, while centring on the angular forms of horo within the pūhoro, hinting at a connection to Koro Taranaki. Blue and white evoke our moana — the ocean currents and breaking waves along the West Coast. Infill patterns reference the weave of a whāriki and the abundance of harakeke that grounds our region.
