Wātea
This piece is an expression of freedom, painted with leftover colours from a work bound by strict guidelines. At times, boundaries can feel tiring, yet balance is always needed. Wātea was created by releasing those constraints — letting the process flow without thinking too deeply or too long. The patterns and colours are left open, inviting you to find your own story within them.
Although not painted on reclaimed timber, the style carries the same rustic, organic character found throughout my work.
